Summer has come and now I have to wait even longer to taste Green Tea Kit Kat.
Vanessa Snow here.
Somedays we have all the words inside the head refusing to take their path into sounds and mouth.
Words must get tired too. No surprises on their path. They go exactly where they need to go.
So maybe, somedays they just hop and hop in circles until the brain calls for a “time out”.
This reminds me of kitkat again.
I dropped off a roll of film to develop, it took a week for the reply and the reply was “we do not develop black and white film.”
At that time my brain put a time out on some words that wanted to come out without permission, that’s what I’m guessing.
So no roll of film for now.
The red thread is on, I hope you’re seeing it.
I saw chewing gum on the floor and it was red, it made me giggle because I like how the universe has a funny sense of humor.
kitkat package is also red.
I found a red gate and plenty of reds while particular songs played.
When the songs play do the words belong to my brain or my ears?
I don’t really know this.
I want to read a book but can’t decide between Jane Austen or Murakami …
Both copies are bent and worn out.
I keep telling myself this is the year to start writing my book but I think next year will be the year.
I’ll write letters instead.
And write stories through images, that too.
Now you, go outside and click.
Van
this is beautiful. images and words. words and images. I’ve read+looked at the images twice. I’m going to do it again. it feels like poetry. thank you. hope you have a red-thread filled sweet day x
❤Thank you! My writing teacher used to say “your writing is like a conversation.” Everyday poetry, I like that. I’m glad you like it too. Thank you!
Simply beautiful, Vanessa! I can’t think of a better day than one that includes film, Murakami, and Kitkats…
The one thing I’m missing is Kitkat! I won’t settle for less and in a few months ill be ready to order and wait for the postman to bring it home! Thank you! ❤
Wonderful, I can’t emphasize enough how reading, writing, and going to museums can inspire our photography. Keep film alive!
Film is getting harder to come by here, I need to order film and prepare ahead most of the times, but it’s worth it.
Film had magic in it.
D’you know, I never read Murakami’s Norwegian Wood? And I totally should, being Norwegian and all 🙂 I’ve loved everything else I’ve read by him, so I don’t know why I never got around to that one – maybe this is the kick in the pants I need to do so. Persuasion has been on my re-read / comfort-read list all summer.
Which book did you decide on in the end?
Murakami always wins, sometimes I just read the first pages and he loses me to his world. I day dream a lot when I read him, like we could have been friends that don’t really talk so we write. You should read this one. And definitely watch the movie. ❤❤
oh you. how I love the stories. with words. with pictures. you tell. xoxo m
That touches my heart. Thank you. (For these and your other comments) 😉 ❤
you brighten my day Miss Van, this was wonderful.
You make me happy. Always and always. ❤
