During this overly busy time of the year (for many of us), it may feel unimaginable that you could do something for yourself. Your shopping list may have few names crossed off, your holiday cards may be still sitting on the table waiting to be signed and stamped, and your tree might not be trimmed. You may be thinking, “How could I possibly take a moment for me with all that needs to get done?”
I want to encourage you (and me) to take a moment for you. I want to remind you that we can only be our best selves when we are in a good place — emotionally, physically, spiritually (broadly defined). I want to gently whisper in your ear that it’s okay if you take a break.
You can sit for a moment in a slice of sun that breaks through your window…
You can have a bite to eat treat and a cup of coffee…
You can have a moment of peace and quiet amidst the swirling and the to-dos…
So tell me, what are you going to do with your moment just for you?

Thank you Meghan! Just what I needed to read and see this morning, with a long to do list on the table… I just decided to put the list aside for the moment, take a deep breath and enjoy a second coffee…while the radio is just playing John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas”- what a coincidence!
I’m so glad this resonated with you, Corinna! And that you enjoyed some music and coffee 🙂
This, so very much this. Just the reminder I needed, what with all the work piling up both at work and at home. Off to a meeting now a little bit earlier than planned, so I have the time to grab a coffee and breathe a little first. Thank you, Meghan!
YAY! Very happy this was what you needed this morning, Jenny! xo
Just what I needed this early morning. This mornings coffee tastes much better and the day seems brighter already. Thank you for sharing.
I’m happy this helped start your day off better, Amy!
Love the feel of these. I am taking a moment right now to read a new book, eat a cookie and sip my coffee
Sounds so good, Cara Wish I could come join you right now!
Now that the presents are bought and wrapped, the cards mailed, I’m trying to do more of just sitting and being in the quiet folds that every day presents. Sitting in my chaise with a cup of tea, staring out the clouds sliding across the sky. Basking in the soft glow of my Christmas tree in the evenings. Reading books to Abra. It’s nice.
Sounds delightful, Elizabeth!
A good reminder! I love how on the image of the peace sign, the top of the film looks like a daisy or some sort of nod to flower power 🙂
Lovely reminder
