Last night I went to bed earlier than usual.
I did this because I had no more work and the only plan was to read a book before closing my eyes.

But suddenly I realised I had left both books I’m reading at my mother’s house.
“I can go back.” – I thought.
Maybe I should pick another.
At any rate, I would not finish this one so it didn’t matter if I started it tonight or two weeks from now.

The cover was different from the one I had seen but this too was a good surprise.

The cover is red and I already know I like this book because I have started reading it before.
So tonight, here we are again, me and my favorite author, who I neglect to think of as a person, because I think of him as characters in his novels.

Tonight, I read Sputnik Sweetheart.
Tonight, the sounds outside are replaced with the loud heartbeat inside my chest and the rumbling of my feet.
I am nervous, I eagerly eat word after word and turn the pages. After chapter six, I’m gone to the point of no return. I can’t stop the images in my head and I keep track of how many times the words “Go with the Flow” come up before my eyes.

This is the perfect book for March.
My eyes get tired and I turn the light off.

But there’s no turning back. I can only go with the flow.
Sputnik Sweetheart – Haruki Murakami

The light comes back on.
I read it all in one go.

My point to this story of mine is maybe, if there is one, that sometimes things have a way of working themselves out, even if it doesn’t seem that way.
Not at first anyway.

And as I look at the Flickr Group pool, I’m left to wonder if photography is something that requires a certain “go with the flow” attitude. This month of March, at least, it seems many of us gracefully captured life around us, maybe even at times when we didn’t feel like it.

But I’m glad we did.
I’m really glad you did, and shared it with us.
Thank you, again.
