I spent some much needed time in the Mortal Muses Flickr pools over the weekend and thought I would share these inspiring film images. Spring is a good time to get the cameras outside and renew those dormant projects. I’m speaking personally here but perhaps you’ve felt the same lately?
Though it’s too cold for the ocean from where I sit, I’m dreaming of a weekend getaway to shoot film.
I’ve shot Instant film inside all winter, yet this shot has me imagining more.
Kitchen interior shots seem to say so much about a home in one shot. This one is feels so close and familiar.
Another layered scene setter outside an apartment complex.
This last image works on minimal composition and narrative possibility, so good.
The mood and tone in each one of these film photographs reminds me of a classic painting or movies I love. I don’t know about you, but I’m schedule a few dates with my film cameras. Thanks as always for sharing your work!
What’s your inspiration your photography lately (film or otherwise)?
