Life is a balancing act, isn’t it? It doesn’t matter who you are, you probably have a dozen different things going on at any given moment. Between work, household duties, finances, hobbies, and relationships, its really a wonder we manage to keep anything straight. Right now I am learning to juggle….and I mean that both figuratively and literally. I have taken on all sorts of new responsibilities, projects, and hobbies and I’m doing my best to handle them all. Not only have I taken up juggling, which requires a few hours of practice every day, but I’ve also started volunteering for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, I’ve started doing yoga again, and I’m in the middle of reorganizing my entire house. The real challenge has been to still make time for photography, knitting, blogging,…oh yeah and my real life relationships with people! But I’m really lucky to have an amazing husband, who doesn’t mind if our “together” time is spend with me behind the viewfinder.
Its been a long process and there have been many drops and many failures, but I’m finally getting the hang of juggling all my responsibilities, just like I’m getting the hang of juggling itself. The most important thing I have learned through everything is that when it all comes crashing down, you just pick up and start over again.
So what are you juggling in life?

Boy is this timely! With school having just started, juggling two different school schedules and my own is really in full force right now. I suspect that, just like your juggling practices, it will become routine in time. Right now, though, it’s just about all I can manage to keep everyone going in the right direction and keep the daily necessities met. I sure do sleep well at night, though!
Love those juggling shots, Jenny! I haven’t tried juggling since I was a kid…as for daily life with work, kids, family, etc.—I’ve gotten pretty good at that part.
I’m with Nikki — love the juggling shots. And great metaphor for life!
You’re learning to juggle! You are so amazing! As for real life juggling…where to start! 😉
