I’ve been noticing the hashtag, #fromthecuttingroomfloor, on Instagram lately. Have you seen this? It’s basically a fun little challenge in which friends tag each other to share a mobile phone shot that they have saved in their camera roll but never actually uploaded to Instagram or some other place to share it. That got me thinking about all the photos I’ve shot with my various cameras that I’ve never shared. And that made me realize that there are SO many images I’ve just skimmed over without really appreciating them. So today, I’m taking a stroll down my own recent memory lane of photographs. I hope you’ll join me.
The lovely Modchik, aka former Mortal Muse Lindsey, from a sun-filled day in Palm Springs…
A self-portrait reflection in one of Rocky Mountain National Park’s lakes…
A sweet sign in front of a local letterpress shop here in Lincoln, Nebraska…
And inside one of my favorite things, a photobooth…
I’d love to see what you’ve got sitting around your own cutting room floor. Share a link to your website, Instagram, Flickr, wherever, of a photo from your cutting room!
All photos shot with one of my numerous Polaroid cameras using IMPOSSIBLE Project film.

Isn’t it fun to revisit our own work. I love how time and space can give us a fresh look at old work. These are great, especially loving the first and last images !
Fantastic! x
You know what is so funny, I just found a roll and had it developed a couple weeks ago and you know what was on there that FIRST photo! there were shots as far back as 2011 on it. Kinds serendipitous to see it twice in a week.
I have a shot of Lindsey from that same day (taken with my iPhone). I never posted it anywhere…I’ll have to look for it. Great post!
