For months now, I feel as though photography has been nothing but a painful tooth-pulling me. However, something changed, literally in a moment, that snapped me out of my funk and back into my old routine. I wish I could pin-point what exactly happened, because if I could, I would have unlocked the secret to rediscovering your inspiration!
I can say with certainty that the journey – the wandering in the creative desert for forty years, so to speak – was an important part of the transformation for me. Feeling so lost for so many months basically wiped my mind clean, and I became a blank slate. Photography, once again, feels new an exciting to me.
If you are feeling lost, you will wander into clarity, too – it’s only a matter of time. The only advice I can give you is to embrace the slow journey, don’t try to rush it.
Thank you. I have not been feeling up to taking my camera out lately. I’m feeling lazy about composing my shot. Yesterday I wandered and walked and took some pictures. Nothing fab but hoping to come around soon. Great advice to take it slow.
I’m so thrilled to hear it Anna! Can’t wait to see what you come up with ! x
I’ve been a funk for the past year and half. I keep waiting for the fog to clear.
Great news. Looking forward to seeing what’s new 🙂
