Gang, how is it that I eat more decadently when I go camping then I do when I am home? Here is the proof…
What’s under that lid? Ooooh, freshly caught OYSTERS!
Add a little (or a lot, ahem) garlic and lemon juice. Maybe a splash of Tabasco for good measure. Oh, heck yes. He is going in for the first taste.
It was delish. And as quickly as they were there, they were gone.
I think I like camping on the Washington coast.
Have you had any amazing food adventures lately? Take a picture, share the link and show us what is filling you up inside and out right now.
Keep chasing that light,
That looks really yummy. Beautiful photos!.
That sounds familiar to me. I don’t like cooking on camping holidays. Except putting some gamba’s or fish on the barbecue.
I’m into an exciting food adventure right now. It is not something that you can eat or drink right away. Some patience is necessary. This fall I’m into making my own fruit liquor.
This week the pears are waiting to be put in my empty weckpots. But I’ve just bottled my rhubarb liquor. It takes about four to six months till it is ready. So I can only look at the bottles right now.
Here is the link to my rhubarb adventure: https://www.flickr.com/photos/jofabi/sets/72157647904671635/ You need to scroll down four photos to find the series of six. (And scrolling down even more you’ll find the series of four to my first apple pie adventure. I baked an apple pie with apples from the orchard. That was delicious!).
I’ve shared the recipe for the rhubarb here: http://www.jofabi.nl/2014/10/08/werken-met-de-producten-van-het-seizoen/ It’s in Dutch though. If anyone likes me to translate in English just let me know.

Hahaha – like minds, here! I have always thought that, when camping, I tend to live it up in the food department. Although, even if it’s just eggs for breakfast, EVERYTHING tastes amazing when you’re camping 🙂
I don’t even like oysters but you make them look SO good!
